Jason could feel his heartbeat slowing as he walked out the adrenalin rush from running. Stretching his arms over his head, Jason grinned at the cool breeze blowing as the sun began to warm up the early morning. Nearing the stable-yard, Jason whistled for one of the barn dogs who trotted over for a rough scratch behind the ears.

Shannon finished patrolling around her den and stopped in front of the gate. It was late and her master was sleeping, but there was nothing dangerous near and she was sure he'd be safe alone for a while. She wouldn't be gone long, but her puppy had had long enough to visit with Harry and it was time to fetch her home.

Harry strolled outside into the gardens of Palace Proper, blinking in the bright sunlight, kitten tucked into his sweatshirt pocket, and a book in his hand. It was just too nice to stay inside any longer, but he wasn't about to start working again, even if Orlando was off checking into what the state of his office was after as long as he'd been away. And he wasn't going to leave Willow penned up all alone either, but he figured that there was only so much trouble she could get into out here. After all -- she was still pretty slow.
