Curled up in her favorite chair, Mum read the letter from Ali once more.
There are so many things I remember when I think about back then – mostly good things. Oh, do you remember the Palace t-shirt you gave me? I wore it all the time. It finally got washed and dried so often it was shrunk and tissue thin. I still have it. Mooky bear – remember Mooky? That old soft pink teddy that you gave me when I was little? Well, Mooky wears it now. It’s the only stuffed animal I kept when I left the home.
