It hadn't taken much to get Harry to agree to come over for dinner which Mum counted as a blessing. She hadn't slept well, her dreams filled with images of the three kids, a mix of memories and worries intertwined to knot her stomach and bring on a migraine.
Checking on the roast, Mum whipped the potatoes, the soothing normalcy of it calming her nerves and steeling her resolve. We'll get through this. We'll find Ali. She'll be just fine. She's a smart lass. She'll be just fine.
