Meet the Murphys

Things don’t go quite as planned with the first meeting…

Wrapping a towel around his still dripping body, Jason hurries to get ready for the upcoming meeting with Cillian's parents. They had arrived the night before and Cillian and Kate had met their train. They were arriving at Palace for lunch and Jason was running late from the class he had been teaching.

Cillian and mum have a little chat.

Roisin has Cillian a fair ways off on his own before the boy realizes, intending to have a little talk with her son now about everything that is going on—specifically Jason. Just as they round a corner, she glances back to see Jason and Barry still involved in deep discussion about the grotto.

Jason and Cillian’s da have a little chat.

Barry looks up just in time to see Cillian and Roisin disappear around one of the bends. He nudges Jason lightly. "Well, she finally got him," he says, smiling softly at Jason. "Should we rescue him or give them some time?"

OK, first, someone needs to work Kate over with a two-by-four. I mean, seriously, how often are Cillian and Jason in each other's company without getting naked and doing something one wouldn't want one's parents to witness? [facepalm] Come ON, girl, use your brain!! [thwap!]

I'm glad Barry's being cool about it, though, and that he and Jason are getting along. Roisin's being a pain, but given that she's a protective mother who's already lost one son relatively recently, and a stubborn person to start with, it's not... completely unreasonable. [sigh] Definitely looking forward to seeing this play out.

Yeh, you would think she would at least knock since Jason and Cillian at least respect each other's privacy enough to do that...Kate on the other hand...

And Jason almost wanted to throw Roisin out on her arse but refrained figuring that Cillian might not tie him up again if he did so. [Sex is such an incentive]

Thank god for Barry! [pets the sweetie]

As for Barry, he was actually much cooler than he was meant to be, and mum much more bitchy. Go figure!

Yea.. Mom makes me twitch, know she is just being protective, etc.. but .. eek..
Dad is a sweetie, glad he can see how much the boys love each other!!
Good scenes! Love the dynamics!!

Yeah, mom has to be protective mama bear for a while, dad'll get through to her, he's had many years to deal with her :)
