Nice maneuvering. And ROFL! about Matt getting fixed up with Anna. I don't think he has to worry about her chasing after him. [grin] She seems... otherwise occupied right now, shall we say. [hum] His mom doesn't have to know that right away, though. :D
And... wasn't it Lucy Liu whom poor Dom ran into on the train, with her sister? Ick! VERY good idea, having Mom and Lucy surprise Matt. That way he'll hopefully never have to meet her. [shiver]
Urk. And I'll be Dom is so looking forward to her visit. :P
It's amazing how many people just don't get that people are the way they are, and it's not something you can change because you want to. It's possible Matt could "function" with a female, well enough to produce offspring at least; many gay men have. But he'd never be happy that way.
If they're that concerned about the family continuing, they should just have more children. Unless they had Matt really late in their lives, as in them being older than Ian is in-game (in which case the situation is their own damn fault and they can live with it) that shouldn't be a problem. They can have another kid or three and with any luck at least one of 'em would be het or bi and will have children. There you go, they have what they want and Matt has what he wants. But that's too obvious a solution, I guess. [rolling eyes]
Glenn, my mother is older than my father. Their marriage was arranged. She had difficulties carrying me and would prefer not to risk her health (and figure) doing again.
[Michael doesn't like people to know that he had a horseriding accident that caused some damage to the family jewels]
[And Angie that's a complete bs thing just for you, hehe - tickle]
Actually, both Matt and Michael have sperm deposits frozen and saved with their family doctor.

Well, that was going to be my next suggestion. :) They could get eggs from Glenn and sperm from Michael and use a surrogate mother, or maybe they even have artificial wombs in Palaceverse, who knows? Or Matt could do the sperm-doner thing and have a female contract-partner who gets artificially inseminated to produce as many kids as his and her families required. There are a lot of options that don't involve poor Matt tying himself to some unlucky girl who'd probably much rather be with a guy who could love her.
I'll bet it's just a case of Michael and Glenn wanting everything to appear "normal." [snort]
As you can see with the Princess Anna comment, they have delusions of grandeur. A title to go along with the estate and money would be very sought out by them. And really they could care less (except for the heirs piece) if Matt slept with his bride, but certainly they see it as something he must do.
Yes, since 'gay' is not the mainstream, they see is as a weakness. Or really more a stubborness, since they see it as a 'choice' that Matt is making.
Oh, that kind. [headdesk] Yeah, Matt really needs to get out of there, ASAP. Changing his name and dropping completely out of sight wouldn't necessarily be a bad idea, either. :P
Good luck, hon. I hope everything works out for Matt.
