First day in the woods, Mads and Ioan. Part 1.

Having reached the point where he wants to set up camp (close to a river with a nice little waterfall if they hike a bit further), Mads had called a halt to their progress. Ioan had been a little grumpy with him for the early waking, but all in all, Mads was pleased with how things were going. He'd endured some tormenting from his lover...but he'd expected that as well. Now, the Wilding has the components to the tent out, to start setting the contraption up. Personally, he'd prefer to be without one but he has a feeling Ioan won't appreciate the lack of lodging if it rains. Freya has been trailing them; he's felt her, though she's not come to say a proper hello yet. He pointed her out as she circled above them earlier to Ioan.

Lunch with Father

Matt arrived early so that he could make sure their table was in the perfect spot - public enough his father wouldn't be able to show his displeasure and private enough that half the restaurant wouldn't rush over to curry favor all during lunch.

Part 2. Still the first day in the woods for the boys, a minor fight and some freshly caught meat.

It's starting to get a bit late in the day, and Mads wants to get a bit of hunting in before it gets too dark. After their...swim...in the river, Mads had dragged Ioan out to gather firewood with him, and now he had a nice fire going in a pit. Finding his shirt, Mads starts to get back into it. "You're sure you don't want to join me while I hunt?" he asks, already knowing the answer.

Watching football with Dom and Jason doesn’t go so well for Cillian.

Glancing at the clock, it's only been a half hour, but it feels like much longer than that. Cillian's starting to wonder just why he let Jason talk him into staying when Dom had shown up with a video to watch. Sports, no less. Cillian pretty much detested most sports. Now, a half hour later, he'd pretty much been sitting by himself watching the two discuss in depth what was going on, or something it seemed like they had been talking about for ages.

The middle of the night…

It's quite late, but Mads hadn't been able to sleep--which isn't unusual. The first few nights he's back out in the woods, he's usually wide-awake--enjoying the sounds and movements of the life there. So, he's left Ioan sleeping soundly in their sleeping bag and is stretched along a low branch of a tree. His lover is sleeping within sight, not more than twenty feet away. The Wilding's eyes are closed and his head leaned back against the trunk of the tree, just listening and feeling. Freya is perched on a branch just above his head, preening herself.
