The aftermath of the L-word...

Ioan wakes up the next morning curled loosely around the other man, and he can't stop the small smile. Mads is still out cold next to him, and this is the first time he's actually woken up still wrapped around the man, and not one of his pillows.

( Harry lay on the sofa staring up at the ceiling. It was very early morning on the day after the Carstairs raid, and he hadn't slept all night.  )

Jude sat down on his bed and stared at the letter in his hands, debating whether to open it or just throw it away. As soon as Harry had told him about the letter he knew who it would be from, and holding it in his hands had increased how worried he felt.

He had resisted the urge to open the letter as soon as he had left Harry's office, knowing that he would need privacy to deal with his emotions.

He fingered the seal before ripping across the top in one fluid motion.

As he unfolded it his hands shook slightly, focusing himself on the black text in front of him.

Testing Karl

Karl paced in the room. He was being Tested, not his first time, but his first time knowing it was a Test; and not with Sean, with Liv. He tried to think if he had seen her that first day, but his attention had been fixed on Sean. And he wasn't sure if he had seen her since. Harry had said he would have remembered Liv if he had seen her. The nervousness that wasn't there for the first Test was here now, in spades.
