Well, the last one of these managed to stay private, so maybe I'm getting the hang of this. There's so much stuff on the com system -- one of these days I'll have to just sit down and go exploring, see what's in here. I'll bet there's piles of useful info. Maybe even someone else publicizing their most private thoughts, which I guess would make me feel a little better about doing it myself that first time.

Topic: New Head of Reception

As you all know, I will leave Reception to go into Pleasure Service, so as of today, Parker Posey is the new Head of Reception.  I will still be here to help out every now and then, but from the coming Weekend on, my main field of work will be elsewhere.  Parker has my complete trust and my personal recommendation, though.  So, from now on, please see Parker about anything Reception-related that you usually have approached me with.

Thank you for bearing with me for the past five years.  I hope my change of work won't change anything about that though.  I am looking forward to my new job and to working closer with some of you now.

I am so glad to hear about your upcoming wedding!  I have thought hard of what to give to you, and I couldn't really think of anything... but now I think I have found something for you.  You don't get it with this note, since you will find my present out in the Royal gardens...

So, once again, my heartfelt congratulations to you both - you surely deserve all the happiness in the world.

After Amy pulls herself together and is able to stop crying, she lays in the garden, just staring at the sky. She finally pulls herself together and heads back to her room. As she enters she sees that she has a message on her com. She picks it up and reads Eric’s message. Her eyes begin to tear again as she replies.

“Eric,

Please come see me. Please.

Amy


She presses send and heads to the window, dropping her com on the bed as she passes. She leans against the glass, hugging herself as she looks out. She feels very cold and alone. She hopes Eric will come see her soon.

Elijah and Jake canoodle in the hallway... and Jake meets Eric...

Johnny slammed the back door and went clattering down the steps. He took the lawn at a run and swerved to meet an innocent elm tree that had never done him any harm, the snarl on his face enough to make it want to pull up its roots and scurry out of his way. It never got a chance.
