"No, no, no, no."
"What's with him?" Jacob smirked.
"Trying to find a present for his girl's old man."
Jacob rolled his eyes as he sat down next to Jared. "You know, most of us don't have to get in good with the dad in order to get in the girl."
Jared's jaw clenched, than he shook his head. "It's not going to work, Jacob. You're not going to get me to hit you again. Not going to get me in trouble with the Masters again, so I have to pay another fine. And you're not going to get me to blurt out something about her or her dad."
"I'm hurt you think so little of me, Leto. I really am. But uh, have fun there. I mean, you should be able to get something really nice for, how much do you have left now? Twenty bucks. Should really be able to get something nice. Hey, maybe you can have your girl help get him a freebie at Palace. Two bitches should be able to think of something." Jacob got up. "Have fun."
Jared glared at him as he left, than sighed. He wasn't going to be able to get Anna's dad anything. Not with his money like it was. He stared at the wall, than shrugged. "Might as well."
A few moments later Jared was driving up to Palace, locking but not bothering to turn off his car as he ran to the Reception desk. Glad that Anna had told him how to address things to make sure they got up to Palace Proper, he dropped off the envelope than went back to the Guild House.
