Colonel Lady Judith Tarr, fourth daughter of the Duke of Arondale, Commander of His Majesty's 81st Cavalry, (retired), led Pluto Carrma III back into the barn and noted with displeasure -- although not a good deal of surprise -- that Carrma, Pooka's mama, was still in her box, despite clear instructions having been left with Jordie to have her tacked up and ready to go. Judy had seen her second stablehand, Jordie's best friend Marilee, come jogging up the road half an hour ago, while she was out in the ring working Pooka, and the only thing that could spur the usually slothful Marilee to that sort of speed was a new stash of cutie-mags to share. And with cute boys and hot girls to giggle over, neither Jordie nor Marilee were likely to have gotten much work done.
