When Johnny finished down at the stable he ran all the way back to the house and upstairs to his room. Flopping down onto his bed, he pulled Harry's letter out of his shirt where he'd stashed it and settled down to reread it.

Catching Up

Liam exited the lift on Palace Proper, his bag over one arm, snapping his second bracelet on. It'd been a while since he'd worn the things regularly and they felt... odd. At least he'd had a decent nap in the car; he'd been running short of sleep since his last trip to Balize and the chance for an extra six hours had been more than welcome. Well, five and a bit -- he'd been ready to toss his com out the window when he'd gotten that call from Walden asking for records from four damn years ago, like he was the only one who kept copies. Ah, well....

Wanting to avoid meeting anyone else for now if possible, he turned left from the lifts and went out to the verandah, then left again to his Majesty's office door, where he stopped and knocked.

I hardly know where to start so I guess I'll just start babbling. It worked last time, right?

Thanks so much for sending Karl. I've missed you more than you can imagine, and getting your letter was great. The only thing that would've made it more perfect is if you'd come yourself, but I understand why you didn't. Just for the record, I wouldn't have run away. I'd have run toward you and knocked you down for a hug. But you didn't know that and I know that sending someone else was a way of letting me know right away that you respected my decision to leave. That means a lot, although I'd still rather have had you in person.

I'm leaving Johnny right now. He's fine, which means Harry will be fine. I had to wait two hours for the doctor to get things done so he could ride back with me to Palace. Those two hours nearly killed me cause it meant longer that I was away from you. Gods I missed you and can't wait til I'm back home. I'll see you tonight, then I'm never leaving again.

Mustaine paced back and forth in his room. He couldn't stop thinking about the lovely Kate he met in the lift only moments ago. He glanced down at his watch. "Damn. Only 5:45." He sighed loudly and sat down on the couch picking up the newspaper he began glancing through it.

After what seemed like forever he tossed it to the side and went to the kitchen for a drink. He glanced at his watch again. "Only 5:52. Bloody hell." Is ten o'clock ever going to get here?"

We're home, we had a wonderful time in Kylea, and are exhausted from the trip back.

Thank you so much, Orli, for feeding and taking care of the ferrets while we were gone. Hope they didn't give you too much trouble.

From David for Marton's eyes only: Marton thank you again for the manor house. It is perfect, we already have renovators taking a look at it.

We both should be back at work within two days once we rest from the long trip back home.

Then I go to see about making that happen last week, and you've buggered off to play in the woods and dance around trees and all that sort of shite. I hear you're back now. Time to pay up, mate. Matt eagerly scanned the new magazine he'd picked up that had Sean on the cover. Absentmindedly, he rubbed his 'tattoo' while flipping to the special article. Matt grinned as he prowled over the pictures. Seeing a tall dark haired man in one of the pics, Matt's eyes widened.
