Contemplations in Darkness
Com unit still clenched in his fist, Christian exited the lift at a trot and jogged down the hall to Johnny's room. He'd gotten the message from the kid and hadn't liked what he'd heard. Abandoning his plans for what little remained of the early evening and not even taking the few minutes required to answer it, he'd headed this way. He raised his hand to knock and then thought better of it. Simply using his bracelet to open the door, he slid through the opening as he stuffed the unit back into his pocket. "Johnny?" he called out, unable to see the lad. "Johnny?"

I hope Christian helps him rebuild his trust of people again. I think he will.
And DO NOT scare me like that! *smacks you* Falling off balconies! NOT GOOD FOR MY HEART!
The end was very good for the heart though---sooo sweet! :)
Re: Comment
Right now Johnny thinks the sun rises and sets on Christian's head, for obvious reasons. :) Having someone strong to trust and lean on will definitely help him a lot.
And DO NOT scare me like that!
You think YOU were scared?!?! Jeez, woman, imagine it from our end! LOL! It's funny, though, I took a similar fall like fifteen years ago, although not from as high, obviously. I was climbing up some rocks with my boyfriend, reached up for a grabhold and missed. Fell very slowly (well, it felt slow) backwards, just silently staring at my boyfriend who was silently watching me fall with this horrified look on his face. Unfortunately, Charlie wasn't telekinetic, so I, unlike Johnny, bounced. I didn't even scream, though; I was in shock the whole way down. Which was lucky, since I was completely limp when I hit. I had a few bruises for the next week and that was it, which is amazing 'cause I could've bashed my head open or something. :/ But anyway, yeah, that one was based on actual life-experience. [grin]
Glad you liked the ending. I did too. It was nice and snuggly -- Christian's a very comfortable teddybear -- which is exactly what Johnny needs right now. :)
Thanks!

(moved on mommies orders)
Johnny is lovely, and i'm loving his recovery process.
He's like a wounded puppy, and its just... great :)

Re: (moved on mommies orders)
Thanks, hon! :D Johnny's recovery is going to be his major story arc for quite a while, so I'm glad you're enjoying it!

I love H/C stories, does it show...? [grin] I'm looking forward to helping my wounded puppy grow up into a big, strong dog. I hope you enjoy watching. (And maybe helping? :) )

Re: (moved on mommies orders)
This broke my heart, especially since I had to hide my boy away to deal with his own nonsense where he couldn't help yours. I worried about it being melodramatic, but the emotions really felt true in this scene, and the telekinetic bit worked too.
Poor little Johnny. Harry will be in touch, once he turns on his com again.
Re: (moved on mommies orders)
Well, Harry's breaking mine right now, so I guess we're even. [hugz]
Thanks, hon. I'm glad it came out sounding realistic. I wanted drama (well, OK, I'll confess my comment to Raven in the chat window was something along the lines of, "What the heck? It's tacky, but let's get dramatic." [grin]) but I definitely didn't want to cross the line into melodrama. I wanted people feeling for Johnny, not snickering at him. And Christian's reactions were perfect, too; having him to bounce off of made this run much more smoothly. :D
Johnny's looking forward to talking to Harry again. He's gotten no sexual vibes off him at all -- nothing giftish, just experience -- and his straightforward manner is very... grounding. Maybe they can distract each other by swapping complaints about the world over a beer. [wry smile]
