Mads takes Ioan to meet Julian—it goes rather disastrously, but a date is set for Mads’ Level 1 test. (This takes place Friday, July 30th around lunchtime)

Ioan gives Mads a somewhat nervous look, before he steps into the cafe. He's already received several looks from passersby because of his uniform.

OK, I'm convinced. Julian's a class-A bastard and really needs someone to kick his butt well and thoroughly. :/ Asshole. It makes me wonder what the atmosphere's like around the South Hall in D'nara. Ick.

I know it's Julian but I keep picturing Jason Issacs in Harry Potter making his mixed blood speeches. Either way, they're both scary and evil. And I'm now worried about Ioan during the test. Julian better keep his hands off!

Funny that, that you mentioned Jason Issacs because I was considering making an NPC claim on him for something in Ioan's backstory, but I don't want to ruin a perfectly good PC. And Julian is a grade A asshole...and to think, we never intended him to start out this way. *kicks her Julian muse* Evil berk.

This is one of those "Angie" moments *wink* wasn't he used somewhere? I have no idea why I think that. Maybe not but somehow he seems familiar from maybe the old fics?

If you need another evil berk, consider James Spader (from his early air poofed hair days - Pretty in Pink style) He always played the same kind of privileged rich kid asshole who snotted on everyone else just cuz he could.

Julian does take his job very seriously--his dealings in the South Wing most likely have no bearing on his interpersonal relationship with people from elsewhere.

James Spader--if I can just get him as "Daniel Jackson" out of my head that's not a bad idea. He can be a creepy bastard. I could see him choking the life out of someone despite their safeword...
