He woke slowly, rubbing his eyes and looked around confused. He burrowed into the pile of blanket, rubbing his face against the pillow, smelling Jake on it and smiling. He curled into a ball before stretching his legs and arms out with a jaw popping yawn.

Jake. His Squeezy. He had let him stay, even after Elijah had screwed up and made him angry, Squeezy was nice enough to let him stay.

Elijah looked up at the other comments and bared his teeth, glaring. They didn't know, they didn't understand. His Squeezy loved him, needed him.

Curling up again on his nest on the floor he drifted off to sleep until Jakey woke. As he slept there was a sweet smile on his face and a faint purring noise from deep inside him.
