Jake and Marton have lunch...

(This takes place the day after Elijah moves up to Royal, also the day after Orlando and Jake run into each other.)

Sitting back at his ease in the booth, booted feet crossed at the ankles, Marton sipped at his beer and waited for Jake to arrive.


His mood was guarded, as were his thoughts and expressions, carefully so, for he wasn't prepared to trust his son, not with what he knew.
