Dommie was sweating bullets, hoping that Lij wouldn't rat him out for that oh-so-innocently-intentioned arm hug, hehe. (His mun is glad too since she likes having her pup safe and sound)

Between, the creepy semi-abusive (controlling, separating from friends) bit and then the growing actual affection, you guys are nailing this story every time. How is it, they are both so weaselly but you still *gasp* find yourself hoping they'll somehow turn around? Hehe, great progress!

I thought it best not to let my Jakeypoo know about the hug. While it was probably done in innocent friendliness, it may have upset him.

He's so protective and sweet and really just wants to take care of me. He wouldn't let anyone hurt me... Isn't he just dreamy....

What Dom said, definitely. [nod] The combination of violent psycho and almost-against-his-will lover are definitely jarring, but in a good way. It makes the characters more realistic, with depths and aspects of difference. Jake is a wonderful bad guy. I still wanna swat him with a rolled up newspaper ;) but I can feel for him too, and see the path that led him to the place where he is. Great stuff, both of you!
