Well my lovelies and what a busy time we’ve had, haven’t we? The sacred halls are awash with fresh dirt for us to plough through, so let’s be on with it.

Suddenly he gasped, choked and started coughing out invective along with crumbs. He felt his face heat and he glanced around as though anyone nearby would instantly know who the... the "darling little boy" was. The "poor wee thing." He swallowed hard before muttering curses to himself and crumpling the paper up into a wrinkled ball as small as he could possibly manage to crush it.
Momentarily, at least, any regret he'd felt at leaving Palace vanished. The bitch just confirmed how people saw him there and he couldn't bear to play that role. Not any more.
With an angry snarl he chucked the wadded-up paper at a waste bin a good ten meters away. It rattled neatly inside, punctuated by a scattering of applause from random, passing strangers.
Already blushing, Johnny ate the last bite of his muffin and hurried away.

He let out a squeak and re-read the paragraph several times, before swearing loudly. "We aren't that loud," he ground out. "Shit."
