Well my lovelies and what a busy time we’ve had, haven’t we? The sacred halls are awash with fresh dirt for us to plough through, so let’s be on with it.

From The Grapevine

Johnny paged through the discarded paper while munching on a muffin. He came to the gossip column and rolled his eyes. Now what? He took another bite as he scanned down the items.

Suddenly he gasped, choked and started coughing out invective along with crumbs. He felt his face heat and he glanced around as though anyone nearby would instantly know who the... the "darling little boy" was. The "poor wee thing." He swallowed hard before muttering curses to himself and crumpling the paper up into a wrinkled ball as small as he could possibly manage to crush it.

Momentarily, at least, any regret he'd felt at leaving Palace vanished. The bitch just confirmed how people saw him there and he couldn't bear to play that role. Not any more.

With an angry snarl he chucked the wadded-up paper at a waste bin a good ten meters away. It rattled neatly inside, punctuated by a scattering of applause from random, passing strangers.

Already blushing, Johnny ate the last bite of his muffin and hurried away.

Item: At last my sweetie has a sweetie! I’m devastated, of course, but it appears to be true. Picnics in the rain, hand-holding, every romantics dream. Mr. Tall-Dark-and-Handsome-from-Sedat had best take good care of my honey, else he’ll have Sally to answer to!

He will... I promise. *nods sincerely*

I love these so much!

Orlando sat as his desk during break, leafing through the paper. He still couldn't figure out why he read such things but..

He let out a squeak and re-read the paragraph several times, before swearing loudly. "We aren't that loud," he ground out. "Shit."
